Infrastructure development is already under way with $150 million budget to build 38 roads and plans to renovate nine kilometers of the Siem Reap River in the city to make it more attractive.

Sihanoukville
Sihanoukville is the third largest city in Cambodia. This city is well known as Kompong Som, at the tip of an elevated peninsula in the country’s south-west on the gulf of Thailand.
The government aims to transform Sihanoukville into Cambodia’s industry hub.
Sihanoukville construction sector has attracted billions of dollars in investment over the last few years. Mostly, the investment come from China. The casino industry had been booming with large swathes of Chinese, tourist and investors coming to gamble.
The government is working on infrastructure construction projects in the province to make it more attractive.
In late of 2019, the government allocated $300 million from the national budget to build 34 roads and for other infrastructure projects in Sihanoukville
The government aimed to transform its provincial capital Sihanoukville and surrounding areas into multi-purpose model, special economic zone and sustainable pole of national development that will allure more tourist and fresh investment from abroad.
Land prices in Sihanoukville range from $1,800-$3,500 per sqm in commercial areas.
